Jim Butler Auto Group partners with Delmar DivINe to install high-speed electric vehicle charging stations in St. Louis’ West End Neighborhood

Delmar DivINe has revealed plans to add electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to their nonprofit center with the help of a $60,000 donation from Jim Butler Auto Group.

The funds will be used to build EV charging stations at Delmar DivINe, a mixed-use development for social innovators providing office space, shared services and other resources for nonprofits, foundations and community support organizations.

The donation is part of a broader initiative by Jim Butler Auto Group to expand statewide EV infrastructure beginning with improving access to charging stations. Brad Sowers, President & CEO of Jim Butler Auto Group, predicts that EV will make-up about 20-30% of Missouri’s automotive market in the next five years.

“We want to support regional EV usage by directly increasing the number of charging locations in Missouri,” said Sowers. He went on to explain how Delmar DivINe’s plans to improve the West End Neighborhood through innovation, development and sustainability inspired him to partner:

“It’s exciting to see Delmar DivINe come to life, and it is my hope that our EV charging stations attract tenants, residents, and visitors to the area. Partnerships, social innovation and collaboration will transform St. Louis.”

Delmar DivINe is the first collaborative space dedicated to maximizing the human and financial capital of St. Louis’ social initiatives and institutions. Delmar DivINe is redefining the West End neighborhood and beginning to replace decades of neglect with innovation, development and sustainability, and EV charging stations are just another way they are making good on their promise to their neighbors.

This project brings Jim Butler Auto Group’s total investment in statewide EV infrastructure to $1.6 Million in the last year. With the goal of becoming the state’s most trusted EV dealer, the dealership launched JimButlerEV.com which provides consumers with educational information on purchasing, owning and taking care of an EV. Through driveBLACKTIE powered by Jim Butler Auto Group, the only program of its kind in the country, drivers can rent an EV for 30 days to decide if owning an EV fits their lifestyle.
